Job Description
A Senior Product Designer at Esri will focus on creating user-centered and intuitive designs for ArcGIS Pro's raster and imagery features, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance GIS workflows and visualizations, and ensuring a seamless user experience through research, prototyping, and adherence to design standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design new features for ArcGIS Pro to enhance user experience and drive innovation
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design concepts
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to develop and refine solutions
- Create design specifications including user flows, wireframes, and prototypes
- Lead the entire design process from brainstorming to implementation
- Ensure all designs meet quality standards and align with project goals
- Advocate for user needs throughout the product development lifecycle
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product design, with proven experience designing complex software features or workflows.
- An online portfolio that demonstrates your design abilities, how you think, and a strong understanding of client objectives.
- Experience using Figma, Figma UI Kits, adhering to established pattern libraries and required frameworks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale to stakeholders.
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing, and translating findings into actionable design improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, or a related field.
