Job Description
The role involves designing and validating user interfaces for Esri's real-time GIS charting and mapping tool, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create accessible, high-quality visualizations and ensuring design consistency across the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements for new and existing features
- Create prototypes and high-fidelity UI designs for the dashboards
- Collaborate with engineers throughout development to ensure design feasibility and quality
- Design accessible and aesthetically pleasing UI that conforms to Esri's design system
- Drive adoption of design patterns and ensure platform consistency
- Act as a liaison between design and engineering teams to preserve UX vision
- Validate design work through usability testing and user research
Requirements
- 5 years of experience with product design for enterprise SaaS, web-based applications, or similar experience
- Experience using Figma, Figma UI Kits, adhering to established pattern libraries and required frameworks
- Comfortable discussing technical constraints and trade-offs with engineering teams
- Willingness to explore multiple approaches to a single solution at the feature level of the Dashboards application
- Interest in data visualization and representation along with willingness to learn about design aesthetics specific to dashboards
- Knowledge of or experience in localization L10N or internationalization I18N
- Expertise in accessibility WCAG 2.0 Section 508 Compliance and a strong track record of collaborating with developers to address and resolve accessibility-related challenges
- Demonstrated self-ownership and initiative in exceeding responsibilities to drive impactful outcomes for the product and team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in human factors, HCI, graphic design, or related field

Base salary range of $97,344 to $166,608 USD
