Job Description
The role involves managing corporate income tax compliance and planning for affiliates, including international tax considerations, ensuring regulatory adherence, and supporting financial audits. It requires extensive tax experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in tax law and reporting systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret information to accurately report the company's tax position
- Liaise with CPA firms to prepare timely and accurate tax filings for all entities
- Research tax laws and rulings as necessary
- Ensure compliance with jurisdictional regulations, internal policies, and procedures
- Explore and implement technology solutions to improve tax processes
- Support financial audits related to tax reporting
- Manage tax audits and notices
- Reconcile tax-related general ledger accounts
Requirements
- Eight (8) years of tax experience including working knowledge of tax law and codes
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, negotiating, reasoning, and problem solving
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs
- Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel to develop ad hoc and standard reporting
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US; Visa sponsorship is not available for this posting
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or in a related field with an Accounting Certificate
- Active CPA license or in progress
- Ability to analyze and interpret information necessary to accurately report the company’s tax position
- Ability to liaise with local CPA firms to prepare timely and accurate tax filings for all entities
- Ability to research tax law and rulings as necessary
- Ability to ensure compliance with applicable jurisdictional regulations, internal policies, and procedures
- Ability to explore new ways to use technology which improves processes for gains in accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to maintain current knowledge of relationships between company accounting records and tax reporting requirements, and provide support for financial audits of entities
- Ability to work on tax audits and notices
- Ability to perform reconciliation of tax related general ledger accounts
