Job Description
A Senior GIS Engineer at Esri will design, develop, and deliver advanced geospatial solutions using ArcGIS technology, leveraging programming and AI tools to create engaging content and support community engagement initiatives globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop ArcGIS-based solutions and content delivery systems for stakeholders and communities.
- Leverage and demonstrate ArcGIS technology in innovative ways, including customization and integration.
- Utilize programming skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python) to enhance ArcGIS workflows and solutions.
- Understand stakeholder requirements and incorporate them into geospatial outputs and workflows.
- Create presentations, configuration guidance, and best practices for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with global teams and contribute to the community engagement strategy.
Requirements
- Five years of professional experience working with ArcGIS Technology, with a focus on ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Hub and associated apps
- A passion for geographic knowledge and spatial thinking, promoting The Geographic Approach and experience of systems thinking
- Experience configuring and publishing ArcGIS data, maps, and apps, including advanced configuration and interoperability
- Programming and scripting experience with languages such as HTML, CSS, Python, and JavaScript
- Strong presentation skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and virtual and in-person collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with a disciplined, process-oriented mindset
- International collaboration and business experience, working with multiple cultures, developed and emerging markets
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally
- Bachelor's degree in geography, computer science, or a GIS-related field
