Job Description

The role involves managing and developing relationships with federal civilian agencies to promote Esri's geospatial technology solutions, supporting large-scale enterprise sales, and providing industry expertise to address complex scientific and business challenges using GIS and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with large, complex organizations and develop location strategies.
  • Identify new opportunities and deepen existing customer relationships.
  • Understand customer needs, key stakeholders, and business drivers.
  • Articulate the value of Esri technology and industry knowledge to customers.
  • Manage the sales cycle, create partnerships, and establish trust with large clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and partners to develop account strategies.
  • Proactively execute account management and sales processes to meet revenue goals.
  • Support visual storytelling and presentations to communicate solutions effectively.

Requirements

  • Eight (8) years of enterprise sales and/or relevant consulting or program management experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience working in or supporting the federal government public sector.
  • Experience managing the sales cycle, creating partnerships, and establishing oneself as a trusted advisor with large customers.
  • Possess financial and business acumen to build compelling account growth strategies.
  • Advanced knowledge of the public sector industry and new technology trends and the ability to translate this into complex solutions for customers.
  • Understanding of GIS, Esri technology, and the public sector as they relate to one another.
  • Expert visual storyteller and negotiator across all levels of an organization.
  • Knowledge of industry fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles.
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship is not available).
