Job Description
This role involves developing high-performance, cross-platform GIS visualization and rendering technology using modern C standards, focusing on designing, implementing, and optimizing graphics and spatial algorithms for the ArcGIS Maps SDKs. The position requires collaboration in an agile environment to solve complex graphical and spatial problems and improve GIS software capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Solve complex spatial, mathematical, and rendering problems creatively
- Design and develop high-performance software components following industry standards
- Apply software engineering practices such as test automation, modularization, and simplification
- Collaborate effectively with other software development teams in an agile environment
- Identify, analyze, and fix bugs and performance issues
Requirements
- Five years of commercial software development experience
- Fluent in and passionate about modern C (C11, C14, C17, C20)
- Experience with one or more of OpenGL, Direct3D, Metal or Vulkan including shader programming
- Track record of implementing high performance rendering of large data volumes using standard graphics APIs
- Understanding of spatial and graphics algorithms and software design patterns
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related STEM field
