Job Description
A Senior Buyer at Esri is responsible for strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, and supplier management to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and business continuity through data-driven purchasing of indirect goods and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform total price and cost analyses on vendor quotes and proposals to support buying decisions
- Lead sourcing initiatives across suppliers and categories to support product standardization and procurement processes
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiating pricing and terms to maximize value and maintain long-term partnerships
- Ensure business continuity by balancing quality, cost, and delivery to support internal customers
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand needs, align priorities, and deliver procurement solutions
- Manage multiple procurement initiatives simultaneously with organization and follow-through
Requirements
- Five years of progressive purchasing or procurement experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams during sourcing initiatives
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proven negotiation skills and experience solving complex business problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, purchasing, supply chain management, or related field
