Job Description
A Senior Accountant responsible for managing the month-end close process, reviewing financial statements for international entities, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements, supporting audits, and implementing process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Close subsidiary financial statements monthly in accordance with US GAAP
- Review and analyze financial statements for international entities to ensure statutory compliance
- Support international statutory audits and provide required documentation
- Reconcile accounts, perform allocations, consolidations, and manage intercompany transactions
- Assist with month-end, year-end, and annual audit processes
- Analyze general ledger accounts and respond to external audit requests
- Identify and implement process and procedure improvements related to accounting functions
Requirements
- 8 years of relevant experience including experience with general ledger functions and month and year-end close process
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
- High level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize demands and meet deadlines
- Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Ability to work independently
- Demonstrates a detail-oriented and hands-on style, excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize demands to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical skills and critical thinking with the ability to analyze financial results
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse team
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or in a related field with an Accounting Certificate or qualification, which meets the CPA eligibility requirements
