Job Description
The GIS Subject Matter Expert at Esri will leverage their expertise in geospatial technology to create and present innovative solutions, while building relationships with customers and executives. This role involves demonstrating Esri software, understanding customer needs, and crafting strategies that align technology with business challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships and present Esri software and solutions.
- Become a technical expert in ArcGIS and communicate effectively with customers.
- Proactively craft and propose GIS solutions that address customer challenges.
- Design and deliver strategies that align Esri technology with customer business needs.
- Present technical demonstrations of proposed solutions to various audiences.
- Provide best practices for the use and administration of Esri technology.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications.
- 1 year of experience in various industries.
- Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing.
- Experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design as well as an understanding of sales and business development processes.
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments, specifically Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50% of the time.
- Bachelor's degree in geography, computer science, or a related field.
