Job Description
The role involves developing geoprocessing tools and workflows within ArcGIS Pro to solve complex geospatial problems, enhance data conflation processes, and support GIS community needs through software engineering, algorithm implementation, and collaboration with a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop conflation tools using algorithms for data reconciliation and change application
- Build and deliver high-quality software in a collaborative team environment
- Apply pattern recognition, similarity analysis, and computational geometry techniques in conflation processes
- Research and implement strategies to enhance scalability and accuracy for large data volumes
- Integrate additional data sources such as imagery, lidar, and GPS into conflation workflows
- Follow design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment practices
- Identify, analyze, and resolve bugs and performance issues in the software
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience with C or related software developing languages.
- Firm understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and design patterns.
- Ability to clearly analyze and describe problems, and propose solutions.
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming patterns and parallel processing methods.
- Friendly, respectful, and open-minded attitude.
- Ability to collaborate with a team of software developers, product engineers, and others to build quality software and meet user demands.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computational geometry, or a related field.
