Job Description
A project management and consulting role leading the implementation of maritime GIS solutions for government and intelligence clients, overseeing project scope, schedule, and budget, and supporting the deployment of hydrographic data systems and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead teams through all phases of project implementation including requirements, analysis, design, build configuration, and deployment.
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget to deliver solutions to customers and partners.
- Act as liaison between Professional Services and customers to ensure project requirements are met.
- Manage a team of maritime subject matter experts, software developers, and consultants supporting maritime clients.
- Recommend strategies, architectures, and solutions; assist customers with implementation and migration planning.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop new business opportunities and shape future projects.
Requirements
- Five years of experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilities
- Professional experience leading and managing IT based projects
- Experience supporting maritime customers and knowledge of maritime products and specifications including S-57 and S-100
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and translate customer s business goals, objectives, and strategies into technical plans and solutions
- Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas, whether to other technical peers or non-technical peers or customers
- Entrepreneurial attitude
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- US citizenship and willingness and ability to maintain a US Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, or a related field
