Job Description
The Product Manager for Reality Mapping at Esri is responsible for defining, developing, and managing geospatial products that utilize remote sensing and imagery data to create immersive digital experiences like Digital Twins. They coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify market opportunities, prioritize user needs, and ensure successful product launches and growth in the geospatial technology industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize user needs and market opportunities through research and analysis
- Maintain and update the product plan and roadmap based on feedback and business goals
- Collaborate with product engineers to develop specifications and user stories
- Align product vision with market and organizational needs through cross-team collaboration
- Coordinate product releases, including sales and support readiness
- Support development and implementation of pricing and licensing strategies
- Partner with marketing to plan go-to-market strategies, messaging, and communications
- Promote reality mapping capabilities through presentations and publications
- Serve as the expert on reality mapping technologies and capabilities
Requirements
- At least 2 years of practical experience in the geospatial field.
- Experience as a Product Manager or similar role, preferably in the geospatial technology or mapping industry.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and persuasion skills across all levels of an organization.
- Strong understanding of GIS, imagery and remote sensing, and reality mapping technologies such as photogrammetry, lidar, drones, aerial survey, imaging satellites, and 3D mapping.
- Experience creating partnerships and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with colleagues, customers, and partner organizations.
- Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset, able to balance business goals with user needs.
- Ability to travel 10-20% for strategic meetings and events.
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geospatial Technology, Geography, Computer Science, or a STEM-related field.
