Job Description
This role involves working on web services for ArcGIS Hub, focusing on enabling customer workflows, collaborating with engineering teams, and translating requirements into functional features, primarily supporting GIS applications and APIs in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify requirements and translate them into user stories for development
- Create and maintain performance dashboards to evaluate service usage
- Manage and refine a Product Backlog of user stories and defects
- Organize and communicate development and release plans to stakeholders
- Collaborate with product teams to publish best practices through tutorials, blogs, and presentations
- Validate and triage enhancement and defect requests in collaboration with Support Services
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience working in an Agile software development environment.
- Experience working with ArcGIS applications such as ArcGIS Map Viewer and/or ArcGIS Scene Viewer or other GIS technology.
- Experience working with ArcGIS technologies such as the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, ArcGIS API for Python, or other ArcGIS REST APIs.
- Experience working with web services and APIs, including RESTful services, service contracts, and versioning.
- Advanced communication and storytelling skillsets able to convey complex ideas in various formats depending on context and audience.
- Intermediate project management skillsets with the ability to coordinate, structure, and release functionality iteratively.
- Beginner to intermediate knowledge of cloud-native web service architecture, reliability, monitoring, and operational concerns including availability, performance, and error handling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, GIS, Information Science, or another related field.
