Job Description
The role involves designing, building, testing, and delivering cloud-native microservices for ArcGIS Enterprise using Kubernetes and related technologies, with a focus on automation, quality assurance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance geospatial software capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and deliver cloud-native microservices for ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new capabilities and features for ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Research and evaluate new features and tools offered by Kubernetes distributions like Red Hat OpenShift, Tanzu, and RKE2.
- Develop automated tests and quality assurance processes to ensure software reliability.
- Plan, execute, and certify software releases.
- Prioritize and triage software issues reported by customers.
Requirements
- 2 years of hands-on experience deploying and managing stateful and stateless applications in self-managed Kubernetes clusters
- Experience automating infrastructure and application provisioning using scripting and templating
- Familiarity with cloud-based Kubernetes services such as Red Hat OpenShift, Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO), or similar platforms
- Background in software testing and or software development
- Strong understanding of private cloud environments, Linux networking, and Kubernetes service meshes
- Experience working with RESTful APIs through scripting
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills, with a passion for delivering high-quality software in cross-functional environments
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, math, GIS, geography, or a related field

Compensation/salary range: $79,664 - $133,120 USD
Work schedule: Minimum of 80 hours of vacation leave, twelve paid holidays throughout the year
