Job Description
A software engineer at Esri's R&D Center in Vienna, Austria, will develop and test GIS-based indoor positioning system products, translating user requirements into high-quality solutions and supporting product deployment across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and specify new GIS capabilities based on user requirements and challenges
- Write help topics, assistance guides, and respond to product forum questions
- Design and execute manual and automated tests to support product development
- Develop testing procedures and scenarios using Python scripts or sample code
- Contribute to the design, documentation, testing, release, and deployment of ArcGIS IPS
- Coordinate with team members and address high-priority technical support issues
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience supporting software testing or software development within an agile environment.
- Familiarity with ArcGIS or other GIS and mapping products.
- Experience with C , Kotlin, Swift or Python programming languages.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, GIS, geography, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
