Job Description
A Product Engineer role focused on the development, testing, and documentation of Esri's Utility Network software, involving hands-on software testing, creating technical content, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance utility and telecommunications network management solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and author test cases for Utility Network software features
- Collaborate with engineering teams to test platform functionality and troubleshoot issues
- Document software issues, reproduce bugs, and work with developers to resolve them
- Create reference help documentation and educational content about ArcGIS Utility Network
- Develop blog articles, videos, guides, and tutorials on utility network workflows and best practices
- Test new features to ensure accurate representation across supported versions and products
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in a similar software engineering environment and or professional writing related experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for innovative data visualizations and storytelling
- Enthusiasm for creating workflows, demos and giving presentations
- Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, compelling content
- Effective time management and organizational skills work proactively and volunteer assistance without being asked and under tight turnaround
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in an agile environment with a fluid mix of collaborative and independent work
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, cartography, computer science, English, or related field
