Job Description
The role involves developing and supporting Esri's web mapping SDKs and applications, collaborating with stakeholders to improve product features, and ensuring a modern, high-quality user experience through web technologies and GIS expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, document, release, and support the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript
- Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback and guide product improvements
- Create comprehensive documentation including API references, code samples, templates, and tutorials
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs from internal testing and customer reports
- Stay current with web and browser trends to ensure a modern user experience
- Work closely with developers to align requirements, design solutions, and manage issues
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with web development.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks, TypeScript, and build tools.
- Experience with frontend testing tools like Vitest, Storybook, and Playwright.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate design concepts.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, geography, engineering, computer science, math, or related fields.
