Job Description
The role involves developing and enhancing 3D spatial analytics software, focusing on lidar data management, analysis, and visualization, utilizing advanced technologies like deep learning and surface modeling to support diverse 3D applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, test, and document new 3D software tools and techniques
- Develop capabilities for lidar data management, analysis, classification, and feature extraction
- Deploy deep learning-based tools to solve complex spatial problems
- Utilize Triangulated Irregular Network (TIN) for surface modeling and as a spatial data structure
- Enhance the usefulness of 3D textured reality meshes beyond visualization
- Support spatial analysis of 3D features, including proximity queries and solid operators
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in GIS or a related field.
- Proven track record solving complex problems involving lidar, TIN, and/or 3D geometry.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in geography, earth science, planning, environmental studies, engineering, computer science, or statistics.
