Job Description
The role involves developing and deploying advanced 3D spatial analytics software solutions, focusing on lidar data management, analysis, and visualization, utilizing technologies like deep learning and surface modeling to enhance 3D feature understanding and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, test, and document new 3D software tools and techniques
- Develop capabilities for lidar data management, analysis, classification, and feature extraction
- Deploy deep learning-based tools to solve complex 3D data problems
- Utilize Triangulated Irregular Network (TIN) for surface modeling and spatial data structuring
- Enhance 3D textured reality meshes for purposes beyond visualization
- Support spatial analysis of 3D features, including proximity queries and solid operators
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in GIS or related field.
- Proven track record solving complex problems involving lidar, TIN, and or 3D geometry.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in geography, earth science, planning, environmental studies, engineering, computer science, or statistics.
