Job Description
A Product Engineer role focused on developing, testing, and documenting Python APIs for ArcGIS, involving workflows automation, image analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver advanced geospatial software capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, test, document, and release new Python API capabilities for ArcGIS and arcpy.
- Create scripts to automate workflows, analyze data, and extract information from imagery using Python.
- Participate in design discussions to develop a robust Python API architecture.
- Develop and execute test plans, monitor regression test results, and report failures.
- Collaborate on authoring help articles, API documentation, and example blogs.
- Test and document image analysis features across multiple image modalities and platforms.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience working with Python language
- Experience in one or more of these disciplines: remote sensing, image processing, photogrammetry, or image analysis
- Excellent problem-solving, design, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in geography, engineering, remote sensing, photogrammetry, or related field
