Job Description
The role involves developing and implementing advanced GIS data management software solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance functionalities related to spatial data, and ensuring quality assurance and documentation for Esri's geospatial products.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with product management and user communities to gather requirements and industry needs.
- Collaborate with engineers to build, test, and implement ArcGIS data management functionalities.
- Drive the planning, design, quality assurance, certification, and release of data management features.
- Develop and maintain documentation to communicate complex technology to users.
- Assess product quality and readiness for release.
- Identify opportunities to integrate new technologies and patterns into existing software.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience designing, developing, and or implementing software solutions in electric, gas, water, sewer, stormwater, or telecommunications using ArcGIS software
- Experience using an application development language, such as C++, Java, C#, or Python
- Strong DBMS expertise in a commercial RDBMS
- Bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, computer science, engineering, or related fields
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at the technical and management level
- Excellent problem-solving and creative thinking skills
- A self-motivated team player with an interest in continuous learning and the ability to guide staff towards excellence
