Job Description
A lead business development manager at Esri is responsible for collaborating with distributors to promote and expand the adoption of Esri's geographic information system technology, identifying new markets and opportunities, and driving strategic growth initiatives within the Americas region.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with distributors to co-sell and promote Esri technology adoption.
- Identify new markets, business partners, and growth opportunities within the region.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with division leadership, customers, and distributors.
- Develop and lead strategic initiatives to achieve regional growth goals.
- Participate in business planning with distributors to create strategic growth and annual plans.
- Provide expertise on Esri offerings and industry trends to support customer and distributor engagement.
- Support and mentor team members, sharing knowledge and driving innovation.
- Support the development of technical specifications and solutions tailored to customer needs.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience successfully supporting the needs of gathering and designing technical specifications to solve a customer’s needs
- Experience selling enterprise software solutions directly and through a channel
- Expert in negotiation and strategic engagements
- Advanced storytelling skills and experience presenting at conferences and executive level engagements
- Detailed oriented, with the ability to manage large amounts of information and nuances within an organization
- Ability to quickly learn new technology and translate it into solutions that address customer needs
- Mastery of English verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel globally 25-50%
- Understanding of GIS, Esri technology, and various industries as they relate to one another
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field
