Job Description

This role involves generating new business opportunities through outbound and inbound sales efforts, building customer relationships, and promoting Esri's GIS solutions to support customer success and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound requests and execute outbound calls and emails to generate new sales.
  • Build sales relationships, follow up with prospects, and close business deals.
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of target prospects, gathering information and vetting customer interest.
  • Proactively listen to customer needs and recommend appropriate Esri solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure a strong customer experience and timely account handoff.
  • Develop target lists, call strategies, and messaging in coordination with sales management.
  • Learn and understand Esri’s products and services to effectively execute sales processes.
  • Leverage CRM tools to create and manage data and activities related to sales efforts.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of sales, consulting, or client-facing experience
  • Customer-oriented with a high level of professionalism
  • Possess a desire to learn and succeed in tech sales
  • Responsive, friendly, and thoughtful in verbal and written communications
  • Able to ask for and implement feedback to improve performance
  • Ability to learn new concepts and software programs quickly, retain large amounts of information, and adapt to a changing work environment
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, including basic spreadsheet familiarity
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, marketing, geography, GIS, or a related field
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship is not available)
  • Experience with Salesforce.com
  • Experience with SaaS software in a sales or business environment
  • Knowledge of industry sectors such as commercial, utility, energy, state and local government, or federal government (preferred but not mandatory)
