Job Description

The Group Manager will oversee product operations and release processes for Esri’s product portfolio, focusing on improving scalability, consistency, and customer experience through strategic planning, stakeholder alignment, and team leadership in a cross-functional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement standards and strategies for productization plans to ensure consistent release readiness.
  • Oversee operational strategies to improve scalability, consistency, and customer experience across product licensing, delivery, and support.
  • Align stakeholders on productization goals, requirements, metrics, and ownership for successful releases.
  • Provide guidance on licensing, business rules, and terms of use post-release, incorporating feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Review and guide product pricing, quoting, and delivery programs across various markets and channels.
  • Establish processes for product enablement, distribution, and compliance across global sales and partner channels.
  • Set product terms, entitlement rules, and ensure consistent implementation across systems and processes.
  • Manage and coordinate the operational readiness of Esri’s Early Adopter Community and related functional requirements.
  • Lead and develop the product operations team through setting priorities, coaching, and fostering cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience as a Product Manager, Solution Architect, Program Manager, or similar role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills with proven success in streamlining product release processes.
  • Ability to coordinate people and technical resources from multiple areas of the company and lead initiatives spanning product, business, and enterprise systems such as SAP, Salesforce, subscription management.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating project plans and guiding teams through successful project execution and digital transformation.
  • Knowledge of the software development process and release of commercial software and SaaS products.
  • Ability to analyze data to generate insights for the business and product teams.
  • Exceptional creative problem solving skills, with a focus on change management.
  • Ability to present to external executive audiences.
  • Ability to travel as needed, up to 25% of the time.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Geography, Geographic Information Systems, Information Science, or a related field.
