Job Description
The GIS Solution Engineer Team Lead is responsible for guiding and mentoring a team of solution engineers, leading technical sales activities, developing complex GIS solutions for strategic customers, and demonstrating the value of ArcGIS technology to support mission-critical goals across civilian sciences organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the technical activities of the solution engineering team to support sales processes.
- Mentor and coach team members to develop their technical skills and performance.
- Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert in ArcGIS and civilian sciences.
- Develop and propose complex GIS solutions that address customer business challenges.
- Build and maintain relationships with technical decision-makers and support sales engagements.
- Design and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations for diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to align team strategies and goals.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- 3 years of experience mentoring, motivating, and coaching on a team
- Advanced understanding of current GIS technology, including the ArcGIS system to demonstrate Esri s patterns of use for civilian sciences
- Broad knowledge of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, software, storage, security, networking, servers, databases, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing
- Demonstrated experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design
- Demonstrated experience of actively participating in a sales process
- Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 50%
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field

Base salary range approximately $114,400 to $195,520 USD
