Job Description
The GIS Solution Engineer Team Lead is responsible for guiding and mentoring a team of solution engineers, leading technical sales activities, and developing complex GIS solutions to help civilian science organizations achieve their mission-critical goals using Esri's ArcGIS technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the technical activities of the Solution Engineer team, including mentoring and coaching team members.
- Partner with sales and account managers to lead all technical stages of the sales process and support revenue generation.
- Present, demonstrate, and support the sale of Esri software and solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert in ArcGIS and civilian sciences, developing complex solutions for strategic customers.
- Proactively craft and propose GIS solutions that address customer business challenges and demonstrate business value.
- Design technical presentations, provide configuration guidance, and share best practices at conferences and executive engagements.
Requirements
- Eight (8) years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications.
- Three (3) years of experience mentoring, motivating, and coaching a team.
- Advanced understanding of current GIS technology, including the full ArcGIS system, to demonstrate Esri’s patterns of use for civilian sciences.
- Broad knowledge of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, software, storage, security, networking, servers, databases, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing.
- Demonstrated experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design.
- Demonstrated experience of actively participating in a sales process.
- Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 50%.

Base salary range estimated between $114,400 and $195,520 USD
