A GIS subject matter expert responsible for advising clients on complex GIS solutions, demonstrating the value of Esri technology, and supporting sales and technical consulting efforts within government sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Advise customers on complex GIS solutions and demonstrate the value of Esri technology
Build relationships and support sales strategies through presentations and demonstrations
Become a subject matter expert in GIS, particularly ArcGIS, and in government sector needs
Proactively craft and propose GIS solutions that address customer challenges and align with their business goals
Present technical solutions and best practices to technical and non-technical audiences at conferences and trade shows
Requirements
3 years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
1 year of experience in state and or local government
Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, cloud computing
Experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design as well as an understanding of sales and business development processes
Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology
Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments including Microsoft Azure or AWS
Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field
