A GIS subject matter expert responsible for advising local government clients on GIS solutions, demonstrating the value of Esri's technology, and supporting sales and technical implementation of GIS applications and services.
Key Responsibilities
Build relationships and support sales strategies for Esri software and solutions.
Become a subject matter expert in local government GIS applications and ArcGIS technology.
Present technical demonstrations and communicate GIS solutions to customers.
Proactively craft and propose GIS solutions that address customer challenges and demonstrate business value.
Support and advise customers on the deployment, use, and best practices of Esri technology.
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
At least 1 year of experience working in or supporting local government
Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing
Experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design as well as an understanding of sales and business development processes
Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology
Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
Bachelor's degree in geography, computer science, or a related field
Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
