Job Description
The role involves providing expert GIS consulting and technical solutions using Esri technology to help customers address complex business challenges, demonstrate the value of GIS, and support sales and implementation efforts across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise customers on complex GIS solutions and demonstrate the value of Esri technology
- Build relationships and support sales strategies through presentations and demonstrations
- Become a subject matter expert in various industries and ArcGIS technical capabilities
- Proactively craft and propose GIS solutions that address customer challenges and align with their business needs
- Present technical demonstrations and best practices to both technical and non-technical audiences
Requirements
- Two years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- One year of experience in various industries
- Programming and scripting experience with languages such as Python and JavaScript
- Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing
- Experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design as well as an understanding of sales and business development processes
- Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments including Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, GIS, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship is not available)
- Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri application deployment and system architecture
- Experience integrating software solutions with other business systems including data warehousing, BI, CRM, ERP, and analytics platforms
- Experience incorporating real-time information streams with existing GIS data and IT infrastructure
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts
