Job Description
A solution engineer at Esri is responsible for demonstrating and supporting geospatial technologies and solutions to customers, helping them understand and adopt Esri's platform to address their business challenges through technical expertise, presentations, and strategic consulting.
Key Responsibilities
- Present, demonstrate, and support selling Esri software and solutions at the Geo Experience Center
- Build relationships with customers and support sales strategies
- Become a subject matter and technical expert on Esri’s platform and products
- Communicate Esri technologies confidently to customers and articulate the value of geospatial solutions
- Proactively craft and propose geospatial solutions addressing customer business challenges
- Employ spatial theory and problem-solving techniques to develop multiple solutions and identify improvements
- Design and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations for diverse audiences
Requirements
- Three years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- One year of experience in various industries
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts in addition to enterprise solutions
- Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
- Experience in mobile development and familiarity with Game Engine development
- Strong programming or scripting experience with either one or multiple of these languages: .NET, C, Kotlin, Swift, Python, JavaScript, Java
- Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, cloud computing
- Ability to work in a high-stress, action-packed, intense teamwork environments
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 25-50%
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field
