• Identify emerging trends and workflows in the conservation, natural resource management, and environmental disciplines that Esri technology can support market development
• Assist in identifying trends in the market that Esri can leverage to gain market share and revenue
• Develop and execute market plan; provide metrics for success by monitoring results and making necessary adjustments in a timely manner
• Present a public face of Esri through blogs, social media, and presentations
• Establish and maintain relationships with trade associations, user groups, and industry thought leaders that further Esri’s mission
• Establish ongoing communication with business development teams so execution of plan can be coordinated with sales activities
• Work to develop an ecosystem of business partners that can amplify the Esri footprint in the environment, conservation, and natural resources markets
• Create, manage, and execute campaign tactics and related internal communications to meet integrated campaign success goals
• Represent and manage Esri’s presence at industry-related conferences, trade shows, seminars, and other events domestically and internationally
• Align and collaborate with multiple Esri teams including marketing, sales, product development, international distributors, training, and partner teams to successfully deliver campaigns and qualified leads
• Collaborate across business development and professional services teams for identification of industry-specific solutions requirements and the development of industry offers
• Develop and maintain a strong user community through printed material, on-line forums, conferences, webinars, and user groups
• Research, evaluate, and lead efforts on strategic industry positioning specific for the environment and conservation markets, gain validation by internal and external experts
• Develop deep GIS domain expertise and be responsible for providing product demonstrations and industry expertise to support press and analyst briefings, partner engagements, and customer meetings
• 8+ years of experience working in the conservation, natural resource management, and environmental management disciplines with demonstrated geospatial innovation and advanced use of software technology
• Knowledge of GIS and its application within the conservation, natural resource management, and environmental management domains
• Demonstrated communication skills to include written, verbal, and presentation
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and strong ability to multi-task activities with shifting priorities
• Strong decision-making, problem resolution, and creative thinking skills
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, conservation, natural resources, environmental, or a related field
• Master's degree in a GIS, conservation, natural resources, or environmental, geography or related field
• Recognized as a respected and influential leader within your industry
