Job Description
The role involves managing and growing customer accounts by leveraging GIS technology and enterprise systems to address complex scientific and business challenges within the federal government, focusing on solutions such as AI, data science, and cloud computing to improve efficiency and drive technological modernization.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute account management and sales processes for all opportunities.
- Use visual storytelling techniques to propose solutions that meet customer needs.
- Identify key stakeholders and understand customer business drivers and budgeting processes.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospects and existing customers to develop business opportunities.
- Leverage social media and participate in industry events to expand professional network.
- Articulate the value of Esri technology and stay informed on industry trends through research and professional development.
- Collaborate with internal teams to define and implement account strategies.
- Support solution selling by understanding customer challenges and translating technology solutions accordingly.
Requirements
- 5 years of enterprise sales and or relevant consulting or program management experience
- 3 years of experience working in or supporting the federal government public sector
- Experience creating partnerships, and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with customers
- Understanding and execution of the sales process, account management, account planning and opportunity strategy creation
- Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise systems and new technology trends, and the ability to translate this into solutions for customers
- Able to negotiate, present, and support visual storytelling across all levels of an agency
- Ability to travel domestically 25-50%
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, GIS, environmental earth, social and or health science, or a related field
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship is not available)
- Understanding of GIS, Esri technology, and environmental and earth sciences as they relate to one another (preferred but not mandatory)
- Understanding of environmental, earth and health sciences (preferred but not mandatory)
- General knowledge of data science or spatial analysis and how it is used for problem solving and uncovering patterns and trends within organizations (preferred but not mandatory)
- Knowledge of industry fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles (preferred but not mandatory)
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $104,000 - $187,200 USD
Work schedule: Ability to travel domestically 25-50%
