Job Description
The job involves working as part of Esri's national government account team to enhance the adoption of geospatial technology within Army organizations, focusing on building relationships, understanding customer needs, and delivering tailored solutions. The role requires enterprise sales experience, knowledge of GIS and the defense industry, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships and develop location strategies for organizations.
- Maintain a pipeline of business growth opportunities for new and existing customers.
- Participate and present at trade shows, workshops, and seminars.
- Demonstrate industry knowledge relevant to GIS applications.
- Identify key stakeholders and understand customer budgeting processes.
- Use solution selling skills to address customer needs and challenges.
- Articulate the value of Esri technology in relation to the industry.
- Conduct research to anticipate customer needs and trends.
- Execute account management and sales processes for opportunities.
- Support visual storytelling and propose customer solutions.
- Collaborate with teams across Esri to define and execute account strategies.
Requirements
- 5 years of enterprise sales and/or relevant consulting or program management experience.
- 3 years of experience working in or supporting the federal government.
- Experience creating partnerships and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with customers.
- Understanding of account management, account planning, and opportunity strategy creation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the US Army and new technology trends and the ability to translate this into solutions for customers.
- Able to negotiate, present, and support visual storytelling across all levels of an organization.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
- US citizenship and ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance.
