The position involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing building infrastructure, mechanical, and electrical systems to support facilities operations, ensuring safety and compliance across various building systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Complete work orders related to building maintenance and repairs using work order software
Maintain life safety equipment such as fire alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, pumps, exit signs, and emergency lighting
Assist with large-scale emergency power backup systems for data centers, including UPSs, ATSs, and generators
Address interior and exterior electrical issues
Oversee roof maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and solar panel management
Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance plan and related records
Requirements
One year of related work experience and technical training in building infrastructure, mechanical equipment, or electrical equipment maintenance and repair
Basic construction and remodeling experience
Ability to read and understand electrical, architectural, and civil plans
Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the campus community and business contacts, including basic office environment computer skills
High school graduate or GED required
