Job Description
The role involves developing and maintaining raster analysis tools for GIS applications, leveraging C programming, cloud computing, and spatial analysis concepts to solve real-world geographic problems and enhance Esri's GIS products.
Key Responsibilities
- Write, build, test, and debug raster analysis software components
- Design and implement software solutions following industry-standard patterns
- Analyze, find, and fix software bugs and performance issues
- Develop and maintain GIS analysis tools for various application areas
- Collaborate with team to define new GIS tools based on user requirements
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in C programming language.
- Knowledge of distributed, parallel, and GPU-accelerated computation.
- Familiarity with SaaS architecture.
- Understanding of the interaction between desktop and server online cloud-based analysis, including concepts such as REST, web services, and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of machine learning as a tool for prediction and classification as required by various application areas.
- Bachelor's degree in applied mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, computer science, or geography.
