Job Description
A backend engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining geospatial data processing services and connectors within ArcGIS Data Pipelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support global-scale data workloads and improve system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own services that support geospatial data processing and user experiences
- Create and maintain connectors to integrate data from various sources
- Develop systems that operate across multiple environments, including cloud and on-premises
- Improve system reliability and performance through API design, testing, and observability
- Collaborate with team members to establish requirements, make design decisions, and implement solutions
Requirements
- One or more years of industry experience as a software engineer, or equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or C
- Solid fundamentals in API design, software design, and system design
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
