Job Description
A Software Simulation Engineer responsible for providing technical expertise and engineering support for mission-critical test and simulation programs supporting the U.S. Navy at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Indian Head, MD.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and engineering support for mission-critical test and simulation programs supporting the U.S. Navy.
- Develop, implement, and analyze software simulations related to naval systems and operations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and improve simulation models and tools.
Requirements
- Provide technical expertise and engineering support as a Software Simulation Engineer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center NSWC Indian Head Division.
- Must be highly motivated with the skills to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to contribute to mission-critical test and simulation programs supporting the U.S. Navy.
- Full-time onsite availability at the Naval Support Facility NSF Indian Head, MD.
- Experience with software simulation, modeling, or engineering support related to defense or military applications.
- Proficiency in relevant programming languages and simulation tools used in defense testing and modeling.
- Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams in a research and consulting environment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform technical tasks related to software simulation and engineering support in a defense or government setting.
- Experience working in or supporting Navy or military-related projects is preferred (implied by the position's focus).
