Job Description
The Senior Testing Engineer will lead testing operations for energetic materials and systems, requiring expertise in engineering testing, analysis of energetics, and compliance with explosives safety regulations within a high-stakes federal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead testing operations for energetic materials and systems.
- Perform engineering testing and analysis of energetics.
- Ensure compliance with explosives safety regulations and laboratory safety standards.
- Manage laboratory operations related to energetic materials.
- Coordinate with federal site personnel and ERG offices to support testing activities.
Requirements
- The candidate must have a strong background in engineering testing and analysis of energetics, with a deep understanding of explosives safety regulations, laboratory operations, and compliance within a high-stakes environment.
- The candidate must have the skills to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- The candidate must be highly motivated and capable of leading testing operations for energetic materials and systems.
- The position requires interaction and support from ERG personnel at the federal site in Indian Head, MD, as well as from ERG's Fairfax and Arlington offices.
- The candidate must be willing to work at a federal site in Indian Head, MD, which is approximately 30 miles from Washington, DC.
- The candidate must meet all applicable safety and compliance standards related to explosives and energetics testing in a laboratory environment.
- The candidate must be able to work in a laboratory environment that involves energetic materials and systems, which may include physical demands associated with laboratory operations.
