A Senior Testing Engineer responsible for leading testing operations and analysis of energetic materials and systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations in a high-stakes federal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead testing operations for energetic materials and systems
- Perform engineering testing and analysis of energetics
- Ensure compliance with explosives safety regulations and laboratory safety standards
Requirements
- The candidate must have a strong background in engineering testing and analysis of energetics, with a deep understanding of explosives safety regulations, laboratory operations, and compliance within a high-stakes environment.
- The candidate must be highly motivated with the skills to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- The position requires leading testing operations for energetic materials and systems, which implies experience in managing or overseeing testing activities related to energetic materials.
- The candidate must possess the skills and experience necessary to perform engineering testing and analysis of energetics, including laboratory operations related to energetic materials.
- The candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of explosives safety regulations and ensure compliance with these regulations in laboratory and testing environments.
- The candidate must be able to work at a federal site in Indian Head, MD, and support interaction with ERG personnel at the federal site, as well as from ERG’s Fairfax and Arlington offices.
- The candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment, including in a high-stakes testing environment.
- The candidate must be able to meet the physical demands of working in a laboratory and testing environment related to energetic materials, which may include handling hazardous materials and working in safety-critical conditions.
