The Safety Specialist supports and enforces safety and occupational health programs in compliance with OSHA, NAVOSH, and OPNAV standards, primarily in industrial or construction environments, ensuring workplace safety and risk management at a military research facility.

Identify risks and report incidents related to safety and occupational health
Requirements
The qualified individual must have experience in an industrial or construction environment.
Strong knowledge of OSHA and Navy safety standards, risk identification, and incident reporting.
The role requires administering, monitoring, and enforcing safety programs and procedures in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), Navy Occupational Safety and Health (NAVOSH), and OPNAV standards.
The position is a full-time, onsite role located at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) in Wallops Island, VA.
