Job Description
A Research Chemist responsible for conducting environmental and combustion research, focusing on chemical composition, processes, and transformations, with opportunities to lead projects and support team development within a multidisciplinary research and consulting firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on technical execution of environmental and combustion research projects.
- Take ownership of complex projects related to chemical processes and transformations.
- Contribute to the development of technical approaches and influence project direction.
- Support team development and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- A professional with knowledge beyond rudimentary academics of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo, including uses of chemicals, their interactions, hazards, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods, or a related field.
- Highly motivated individual with the skills to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to take ownership of complex projects and contribute to environmental and combustion research.
- Willingness to initially focus on hands-on technical execution and quickly grow into opportunities to lead projects, influence technical direction, and support team development.
- Experience in performing hands-on technical work related to chemical substances, processes, and transformations.
- Ability to contribute to environmental and combustion research projects.
- Availability to work in a role that involves technical execution and project leadership as the position progresses.
