Job Description
The Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing fire protection systems in high hazard areas at a federal site, ensuring safety and compliance through technical support and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Install fire protection systems in high hazard areas
- Troubleshoot fire alarm systems to identify issues
- Perform repairs on fire alarm and detection systems
- Test fire alarm systems to ensure proper operation
Requirements
- Provide fire protection system installation, troubleshooting, repair, and testing support for high hazard areas, such as chemical processing facilities or explosives storage facilities.
- Must be highly motivated with the skills to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work full-time at the federal site in Indian Head, Maryland.
- Experience or skills in fire alarm systems relevant to high hazard environments, including installation, troubleshooting, repair, and testing.
- Physical ability to perform tasks related to fire alarm system installation, troubleshooting, repair, and testing in high hazard areas.
