Job Description
The Facilities Grounds Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of technicians in transportation, vehicle operations, groundskeeping, and facilities maintenance activities at the Naval Support Facility in Indian Head, Maryland, ensuring smooth operations and effective management of site maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of technicians in transportation and vehicle operations at the Naval Support Facility.
- Manage moving and positioning of cars, trucks, trailers, and containers to support facility and vehicle maintenance.
- Supervise groundskeeping activities to maintain the facility's outdoor areas.
- Oversee facilities maintenance activities to ensure proper upkeep of the facility.
Requirements
- The qualified individual must be highly motivated with the skills to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in transportation and vehicle operations, including moving cars, trucks, trailers, and containers, is required.
- Ability to supervise groundskeeping and facilities maintenance activities, with the expectation that the role will expand to include these responsibilities over time.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to lead a team of technicians at the Naval Support Facility in Indian Head, Maryland.
