Job Description
The Building Automation Systems (BAS) Technician is responsible for installing, programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining HVAC control systems related to mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage controls at the Naval Support Facility Indian Head, supporting facilities projects with a focus on HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform HVAC control systems installation, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Assist with mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage controls related to HVAC systems
- Scope, estimate, and plan for minor HVAC repair projects
Requirements
- Must have mid- to senior-level experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS) as a technician.
- Must have experience performing HVAC control systems installation, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks related to mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage controls.
- Must be capable of scoping, estimating, and planning for minor HVAC repair projects.
- Must be highly motivated with the skills to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to perform work onsite full-time at the Naval Support Facility NSF Indian Head, MD.
- Must have the physical ability to perform tasks related to HVAC control systems installation, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Must have the ability to interact and support personnel at the federal site as well as from ERG’s Fairfax and Arlington offices.
- Must have a complete understanding of HVAC control systems, mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage controls relevant to building automation.
- Must have the ability to perform minor HVAC repair projects including scoping, estimating, and planning.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with team members and clients in a fast-paced environment.
