The Quality Technician is responsible for sampling, testing, and ensuring the quality of raw materials, in-process, and finished products in a manufacturing environment, following safety procedures and maintaining accurate records to meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Sample and conduct testing of raw materials, in-process materials, finished goods, and environmental samples to ensure quality standards.
Follow workflow procedures and maintain accurate records of quality testing results.
Use electronic systems and databases to record, analyze, and store quality data.
Investigate quality issues, propose solutions, and initiate quarantine protocols when necessary.
Perform special-project tests to identify sources of quality problems or evaluate potential improvements.
Maintain lab equipment and ensure timely calibration.
Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping practices.
Requirements
Conduct sampling and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, finished goods, and environmental samples, measuring quality to client specifications daily.
Follow proper workflow procedures and maintain accurate records of testing results.
Use a working knowledge of various electronic systems and databases for data storage and analysis.
Investigate solutions to quality issues and propose test ideas for quality improvements.
Perform occasional special-projects tests to investigate the source of quality issues or study potential quality solutions.
Understand and follow all safety procedures.
Maintain good housekeeping in the laboratory environment.
Maintain lab equipment and ensure timely calibration as necessary.
Proficiency in Excel Spreadsheets, Outlook Emailing, and experience with other databases is required.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a manufacturing or similar environment is required.
