The Electrical Supervisor oversees electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment in a renewable energy manufacturing environment, leading a team to ensure safety, efficiency, and continuous operation of plant facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead troubleshooting and repair of electrical, controls, and mechanical equipment on production and facilities.
Organize and supervise a team of electricians, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
Diagnose, delegate, and perform skilled activities involving repair, installation, calibration, and maintenance of equipment.
Ensure adherence to safety practices and maintain electrical equipment according to codes and standards.
Create and prioritize work orders, including emergency and preventative maintenance tasks.
Monitor production parameters and make adjustments to optimize equipment performance and safety.
Participate in root cause analysis and equipment performance improvement initiatives.
Supervise and train employees to meet productivity, safety, quality, and efficiency goals.
Coordinate during shutdowns and conduct shift meetings.
Maintain records, schematics, inspection reports, and documentation of safety and operational activities.
Support production improvements and special projects related to safety and operational efficiency.
Requirements
At least two 2 years of manufacturing experience
At least four years of electrical experience
Must demonstrate an electrical aptitude and experience working with high voltages 480V to 4160V
Ability to carry out operations safely and efficiently utilize assigned appliances and tools
Strong analytical skills, problem solving and communication skills
Ability to develop and maintain accurate records
Must be proficient in basic computer knowledge
Ability to interpret sketches, blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders
Ability to interpret, illustrate, and apply regulation codes and rules
Willing and able to maintain and enforce strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including safety equipment
Availability to provide necessary coverage in a continuous operational plant
