Job Description

The Electrical Supervisor oversees electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment in a renewable energy manufacturing environment, leading a team to ensure safety, efficiency, and continuous operation of plant facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead troubleshooting and repair of electrical, controls, and mechanical equipment on production and facilities.
  • Organize and supervise a team of electricians, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Diagnose, delegate, and perform skilled activities involving repair, installation, calibration, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to safety practices and maintain electrical equipment according to codes and standards.
  • Create and prioritize work orders, including emergency and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor production parameters and make adjustments to optimize equipment performance and safety.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and equipment performance improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise and train employees to meet productivity, safety, quality, and efficiency goals.
  • Coordinate during shutdowns and conduct shift meetings.
  • Maintain records, schematics, inspection reports, and documentation of safety and operational activities.
  • Support production improvements and special projects related to safety and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • At least two 2 years of manufacturing experience
  • At least four years of electrical experience
  • Must demonstrate an electrical aptitude and experience working with high voltages 480V to 4160V
  • Ability to carry out operations safely and efficiently utilize assigned appliances and tools
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain accurate records
  • Must be proficient in basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to interpret sketches, blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders
  • Ability to interpret, illustrate, and apply regulation codes and rules
  • Willing and able to maintain and enforce strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including safety equipment
  • Availability to provide necessary coverage in a continuous operational plant
