Job Description
The Electrical Supervisor oversees electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment in a renewable energy manufacturing environment, leading a team to ensure safety, efficiency, and continuous operation of plant facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead troubleshooting and repair of electrical, controls, and mechanical equipment on production and facilities.
- Organize and supervise a team of electricians, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Diagnose, delegate, and perform skilled activities involving repair, installation, calibration, and maintenance of equipment.
- Ensure adherence to safety practices and maintain electrical equipment according to codes and standards.
- Create and prioritize work orders, including emergency and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Monitor production parameters and make adjustments to optimize equipment performance and safety.
- Participate in root cause analysis and equipment performance improvement initiatives.
- Supervise and train employees to meet productivity, safety, quality, and efficiency goals.
- Coordinate during shutdowns and conduct shift meetings.
- Maintain records, schematics, inspection reports, and documentation of safety and operational activities.
- Support production improvements and special projects related to safety and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- At least two 2 years of manufacturing experience
- At least four years of electrical experience
- Must demonstrate an electrical aptitude and experience working with high voltages 480V to 4160V
- Ability to carry out operations safely and efficiently utilize assigned appliances and tools
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving and communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain accurate records
- Must be proficient in basic computer knowledge
- Ability to interpret sketches, blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders
- Ability to interpret, illustrate, and apply regulation codes and rules
- Willing and able to maintain and enforce strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including safety equipment
- Availability to provide necessary coverage in a continuous operational plant
