Job Description

The Electrical Supervisor oversees electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment in a renewable energy manufacturing environment, leading a team of electricians to ensure safety, efficiency, and continuous operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead troubleshooting and repair of electrical, controls, and mechanical equipment on production facilities.
  • Organize and supervise a team of electricians, including scheduling, training, and evaluating performance.
  • Diagnose, delegate, and perform skilled repair, installation, calibration, and maintenance of electrical and control systems.
  • Ensure adherence to safety practices and electrical codes during maintenance and repair activities.
  • Create and prioritize work orders, including emergency and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor production process parameters and make adjustments to optimize safety and efficiency.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and equipment performance improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise and train employees to meet productivity, safety, quality, and efficiency goals.
  • Coordinate during shutdowns and conduct shift meetings to communicate operational updates.
  • Maintain documentation, reports, schematics, and inspection records related to electrical systems.

Requirements

  • At least two 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • At least four years of electrical experience.
  • Must demonstrate an electrical aptitude and experience working with high voltages 480V to 4160V.
  • Ability to carry out operations safely and efficiently utilizing assigned appliances and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain accurate records.
  • Proficient in basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to interpret sketches, blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders.
  • Ability to interpret, illustrate, and apply regulation codes and rules.
  • Willing and able to maintain and enforce strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including safety equipment.
  • Availability to provide necessary coverage in a continuous operational plant.
  • Must be able to work in outdoor environments and in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees.
  • Willing and able to work in hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environments.
  • Occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces.
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and overnight on assigned shifts or to address unexpected issues with or without notice.
  • Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting and pulling up to 50 pounds, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA.
  • Ability to work from heights and confined spaces.
  • Able to climb multiple flights of steps, ramps, vertical ladders, scaffolds fixed or portable.
  • Able to work around moving equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to perform work while wearing PPE including Arc Flash protection.
  • This position is not eligible for visa support.
