Job Description
The role involves designing, developing, implementing, and supporting Dynamics 365 ERP solutions, primarily focusing on finance and supply chain management, to support the company's sustainable energy operations. The architect will lead technical efforts, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with teams to ensure effective and scalable ERP system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, test, and support Dynamics 365 ERP environments including Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Commerce modules.
- Create technical solutions and specifications based on functional requirements, ensuring alignment with Microsoft best practices.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and own support tickets related to Dynamics 365 FO and ISV software integrations.
- Perform peer code reviews, develop proof-of-concepts, and vet ISV integrations.
- Conduct internal and user training sessions on Dynamics 365 functionalities and solutions.
- Manage project deliverables to ensure quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
- Lead development teams and sub-contractors, providing technical guidance and oversight.
- Maintain documentation such as test cases, SOPs, and developer guides.
- Utilize and implement automation, and lead status calls and SCRUM meetings.
- Assess technical gaps, design reusable solutions, and establish efficient development patterns.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of D365FO architecture and extensibility model.
- Expertise in X++, SQL programming languages.
- Working knowledge of .NET, C#, C++.
- Strong experience with LCS and Azure DevOps features and functionalities.
- Experience in application lifecycle management including Code Merging and Code Deployments.
- Ability to generalize solutions to be reusable and to design frameworks and establish efficient patterns.
- Ability to lead a development sub-team full-time and manage sub-contractor staff.
- Proficient at developing and maintaining documentation such as Test cases, Level of Effort (LOE), Test-Driven Development (TDD), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Developer’s guide, and Database refresh policies.
- Adhere to and follow the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.
- Ability to identify bottlenecks and design solutions to overcome them.
- Ability to utilize and implement automation.
- Ability to lead status calls such as SCRUM and provide status updates to Project Manager.
- Pass one exam in MS D365 F&O, Power Platform, or Azure per year.
- BS Degree in Computer Information Systems or a relevant business area.
- 8 or more years of experience using the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Platform including D365 F&O, D365 Supply Chain, Power Apps, and Flow.
- Previous experience with C# and/or .NET framework is strongly desired.
- Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels, including executive level.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing demands.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to translate customer requirements into working code.
- Proven ability to participate in software development projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met.
- Full lifecycle upgrade experience for Dynamics D365 preferred.
- Working knowledge of SharePoint Online, Power BI, Power Apps, Flow, and other MS Platforms.
- Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using tools such as Azure DevOps, Team Foundation Server, Microsoft Project, Visio, and all Office tools.
- Ability to assess technical gaps in requirement specifications.
- Minimal travel required, with advanced notice.
- Able to work remotely when not traveling to site.
- Able to work on a computer screen for up to twelve hours a day.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA.
