Job Description
The Assistant Vice President of Medicinal Chemistry at Enveda leads the development of drug candidates, manages and mentors a team of chemists, and collaborates across departments to deliver high-value molecules for clinical trials, supporting the company's mission to improve human health.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver hits, leads, and clinical candidates for human clinical trials.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage performance of PhD and M.Sc. synthetic chemists.
- Collaborate with Medicinal Chemistry team to increase compound delivery to the clinical pipeline.
- Work with senior leaders in ADME, Analytical Sciences, and Pharmacology to deliver high-value molecules.
Requirements
- Demonstrated track record of delivery of hits, leads, and clinical candidates for advancing them into human clinical trials.
- Experience in recruiting PhD and M. Sc. synthetic chemists and mentoring them as medicinal chemists.
- Ability to manage the performance of synthetic chemists and improve their productivity.
- Experience collaborating with peers in Medicinal Chemistry to increase delivery of compounds to the Clinical Pipeline.
- Ability to collaborate with Senior Leaders in departments such as ADME, Analytical Sciences, and Pharmacology to deliver high value molecules.
- Experience working as a member of a Drug Discovery team and reporting to the SVP, Discovery Chemistry.
