Job Description

The role involves serving as a DevOps Engineering Expert to support the modernization of a legacy enterprise system into a secure, scalable, cloud-based architecture within the DOE Azure environment, focusing on migration and rebuilding efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Transform a monolithic enterprise system into a scalable, cloud-based architecture within the DOE Azure environment
Migrate and rebuild complex legacy systems into secure, high-performance cloud solutions

Requirements

Experience as a DevOps Engineering Expert with a proven track record in designing, implementing, and managing DevOps solutions.
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud platforms, specifically within the United States Department of Energy DOE Azure environment.
Experience in large-scale modernization initiatives involving transforming monolithic enterprise systems into modern, scalable, cloud-based architectures.
Ability to migrate and rebuild complex legacy systems into secure, high-performance, and future-ready cloud solutions.
Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements relevant to government and enterprise environments.
Demonstrated experience in infrastructure as code (IaC), automation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a discovery phase of a large-scale modernization project.
